In the second quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app landscape in El Salvador showcased varied performance trends across the top five applications, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 10.8K and experiencing slight fluctuations before settling at approximately 9.2K by the end of June. Meanwhile, weekly active users remained stable, with numbers hovering around 81.7K at the beginning of the quarter and closing at about 77.8K.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, starting at 6.5K and peaking at 7.8K towards the end of June. The app's active user base showed resilience, beginning at 165.1K and experiencing a mild increase to 174.1K by the quarter's conclusion.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting at 5.7K and declining to just 84 by the end of June. Active users followed a similar downward trajectory, starting at 15.4K and ending at 8.7K.

For Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, weekly downloads remained relatively stable, beginning at approximately 1.8K and closing at 1.7K. Active users showed slight fluctuations, maintaining around 15.2K throughout the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a modest presence, with weekly downloads ranging from 313 to 166. Active users started at 4.2K and ended the quarter slightly lower at 3.9K.
